“Every man is more than just himself; he also represents the unique, the very special and always significant and remarkable point at which the world’s phenomena intersect, only once in this way and never again” – Herman Hesse

“With this Herman Hesse quote I take initiative to start my artistic projects. My first project was documenting a heroin addict via photography, writings, among others. I started exploring the theme in every possible way and study not only the world but the definition of it for this person. One of my many purposes with this project was to find beauty in these spaces of sadness and horror. In that way I select other people that share my “here and now” with different situations and realities and I study them to pass it to the visual arts field.

Through these individual beings I have the interest as an artist to transcend the right now and the world’s madness. Expose the intimate, the secrets and the repressions. In this way try to cultivate empathy in the spectator by visually showing them a complete different reality that takes place in their same timeline.
