Danilo is an artist living and working in Aruba.

Mainly painting in “oil on canvas” but occasionally also working with print techniques as: lino-cut on paper and etching. Also making installation from salvaged wood and drift wood, from the north side of the island.

His work consists mainly organic forms, and is also known for his take on trees in a vine like twists. At the moment his work is tend to go more and more into the “micro” word, where he explores the “microscopic” and “morphemic” elements of organic forms, a transmutation from one species to another.

Currently during his residency at Jiwar he is exploring the organic world with in a metropolitan city. How open spaces and squares are a vivid place for nature to co exist with buildings. And searching for new inspiration in this place.
