During four weeks you can go to see the artistic research results of the three selected artists for the 5th edition of Making neighbhourhood project.

Elif Gulen (Istanbul, photographer) untangled the connections between the personal and collective stories of elderly people from the Gràcia neighbourhood who still live in the house where they were born. Memory and the city are the protagonists and these people who have never moved are the privileged witnesses. Barcelona is the fourth city in which the artist has worked after the Galata neighbourhood in Istanbul, Paris and Belfast.

Michele King, Californian visual artist has wanted to open an introspective door to the phenomenon of mobility, interpreting the city through its smells, sounds and sensations and noting the intimate and emotional connections with it. In this way, she has put aside the cold analysis of the urbanist that she herself has been, to embrace the emotional complexity from which we relate to the city. Isidor Fernandez (visual anthropolgist, Sabadell)  has dug deep down into the collective memory of the neighbourhood of Sants through a cross between visual anthropology and creation. Through videos and photography, the neighbours demonstrate the elements that unite them to the neighbourhood, that create the sentiment of belonging which he unravels.
