Alexander Klang lives in Berlin (Germany) where he graduated last year in Photography. Currently he is enrolled in a two year postgraduate photography Masterclass at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin. Alexanders subject is analog portrait photography.

“I am interested in encounters with strangers, usually in unfamiliar places. I am not interested in telling a story about these encounters, nor with artificial staging. All I am looking for and interested in is a natural expression, an intimate moment or an unexpected gesture or posture in a very reduced and graphical framework. The uncertainty of this encounters, the limited time and the unfamiliarity of place help me to avoid rehearsed and classical poses.”

His work have been exhibited in Europe and the United States. You can find more Alexander’s pictures on his website or follow him on Instagram
