Sigrún studied music in Iceland, Berlin and Colorado and graduated with an M.Mus in violin performance in 2014. As a violinist she has played with groups like Skark, Caput and Sinfonia Nord, and played in studio recordings for artists like Björk and Ólafur Arnalds, played soundtracks for movies and TV series, and recently played on the latest Samsung ringtone.

As an arranger Sigrún has arranged Icelandic folk music and traveled with her project KVÖLDVAKA around Iceland and to Portugal. She was nominated for the President’s of Iceland’s innovation award for her arrangements in 2015.

Sigrún has composed music for various theater productions that have been staged in Iceland, Greenland, England and Scotland.
