The Battle of Tampere. The Unknown Defenders of the Town Hall 1918

The events of the film take place during the last year of World War I. Finland is fighting against Russia and those oppressed by the cast and class society want freedom from and equal rights to the leading class.
There is a war in Finland which culminates in the battle of Tampere, the long siege of the city between March and April 1918. When the siege is over the armed female guard signs up to defend the city.
Attackers are Finnish, Swedish and German. There are more than 10 000 soldiers among them.
The female guard retreats to the Town Hall. When the defence of the city falls men flee from the front line and the women are left to defend the Town Hall.
The film depicts the last moments and wishes of the women who were killed defending the Town Hall.
